DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Building Industry Association of Central SC and Midlands Education and Business Alliance\, we would like to invite your organization to participate in our industry-wide job shadowing event for construction.  This event\, scheduled for Tuesday\, February 26\, 2019\, will be offered to students interested in the construction career field such as masonry\, carpentry\, electrical\, HVAC\, plumbing\, mechanical engineering\, architecture\, project management\, etc.\n\n\n\nParticipating students will be at least 16 years of age and a sophomore in high school\, who have expressed an interest in learning more about the construction industry.  Students will provide their own transportation.  For liability purposes\, students are covered by school district insurance policies while they participate in extended learning opportunities during the school day.  Job shadow experiences should last at least 3 hours and as long as the school day\, 8:00 a.m.   2:30 p.m.\n\n\n\nThe purpose of this job shadow is to provide students with an interest in construction careers\, the opportunity to observe and engage in the industry first hand.
