DESCRIPTION:HPBC Members and those interested in high-performance building are invited to lunch. Free to attend\, but please register in advance if you can attend.\n\n\n\nAt this meeting we'll discuss the differences in practice and costs associated with building to the 2021 IECC compared to the current 2009 Energy Code. Our codes have not changed\, but could be a possibility due to incentives as part of the Inflation Reduction Act that is going through Congress at this time. We'll have Ted Konechne\, President - East Region for ARCXIS and other representatives to give us a comparison of the codes and real-life examples of how this code change could effect building practices in our state.\n\n\n\nWe'll meet for lunch at 11:30a at Grecian Gardens in West Columbia on Thursday\, Aug. 18.
