The Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina and Camp Cole Collaboration
Camp Cole and the Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina have been working together to create a safe, accessible, and inspirational gathering place where groups can connect, share, encourage and shine.  Camp Cole is building a camp and retreat for children, teens, and adults with illnesses, disabilities, and life challenges.  Our campus will be completely accessible for all abilities and equipped with a state of the art medical facility. With a large 40-acre campus on Garners Ferry Road, Camp Cole will be able to provide safe sleeping quarters for over 250 children and adults while still staying just 15.3 miles from Prisma Health Hospital- Midlands.  Camp Cole is a proud member of the Building Industry Association.
The BIA has helped Camp Cole grow awareness in our community, build relationships with small & big businesses, and enhance fundraising.  In March of 2018 and 2019, Camp Cole was given a booth at the Building Industry Association’s Home and Garden show which provided an opportunity to connect with thousands in our area.  The BIA has allowed Camp Cole to speak at many membership engagements, as well as highlight our mission at BIA sponsored events. Camp Cole looks forward to participating at the BIA’s upcoming Golf Tournament and Oyster Roast.
Members of the BIA have been extremely valuable to Camp Cole in a vast variety of ways. Great Southern Homes, Executive Homes, and Hood Construction’s CEO’s all participate on Camp Cole’s Board providing deep knowledge and guidance in regards to the planning and construction of Camp Cole.  Clarks Termite and Pest Control, Terminix, Budget Blinds, Movement Mortgage, Guild Mortgage, Brabham Griffin Insurance Company, Lending Path, Modern Exterminating Company, and others have provided in-kind services, sponsorships for events and volunteers.  Camp Cole is deeply appreciative of the diversity of industries that participate in the Building Industry Association.  Their knowledge helps elevate our mission to provide a more accessible and safe place for our community.
Camp Cole is in a $10-million-dollar Shine On Capital Campaign to build a café and kitchen, medical facility, overnight sleeping cabins, multipurpose room, art room, gym, pool, and pond. The BIA has helped raise and assist other members, in raising funds to get Camp Cole built.  Thanks to the BIA and our community, Camp Cole has raise $5 million dollars! Camp Cole looks forward to continuing their collaboration with the Building Industry Association.
