Charitable Foundation Supports Christian Assistance Bridge

The Building Industry Charitable Foundation recently awarded $10,000 to Christian Assistance Bridge in support of the expansion of the Food Bank in Blythewood. The donation is the first installment of a $50,000 pledge made possible by Michael P. Nieri , owner of Great Southern Homes. Nieri serves as President of the Foundation. Also serving on The Charitable Foundation Board of Trustees is  John Covert, owner of Covert Homes, who serves as the Chairman of the Christian Assistance Bridge Board of Directors.

The Building Industry Charitable Foundation, Inc. was incorporated under S.C. law in 1993 as the HBA of Greater Charitable Foundation Inc. under bequest from the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia, which provided the initial funding.  The foundation was established for the purpose of providing assistance to those less fortunate, or otherwise deserving, for the betterment of the community.  The Foundation accomplishes its purpose by assisting individuals, programs and organizations in need
 
Christian Assistance Bridge reaches out to those who find themselves in a crisis situation—facing eviction, utility cut-off, homelessness or food and necessities shortages.  Since 2013, Christian Assistance Bridge has been serving the communities of Blythewood, Ridgeway  and northeast Richland County
