Week of April 18, 2022
This week at the BIA, we're polishing off some Easter candy and getting ready for some great meetings and events.
Building Industry Charitable Foundation Scholarship Applications are due on Monday, April 18. Get those forms from our website here. Contact us if you have any questions about those.
Join fellow members at the Tin Roof Columbia on Wednesday, April 21 for the 6th annual SMC Pour War Challenge for Charity! BIA Members battle head to head by slinging drinks for tips. The bartender with the most tips wins the war, but the real winner is the charity of the night who receives all the tip money. Come to the Tin Roof on Wednesday and tip in person or support your favorite bartender right now on this website.
The High Performance Building Council will hold a Quarterly Meeting on Thursday, April 21 to talk about the future of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and integrating them into homes. Join in person at the BIA office or via Zoom at 4:00p on Thursday. Register at our website if you plan to attend.
Keep an eye on your inbox for the Quarterly Economic Review this week. We're working on the building permit counts and the brand new Top 20 Builders right now and we'll have that out to all members ASAP.
Next week we'll have a Remodelers After Hours at Monster J's Home Improvement in Irmo on Tuesday, April 26. Details and registration here.
May is quickly approaching and we've got the M.P. Nieri BIA Bass Classic on May 6 and the BIA Golf Classic on May 19. Registration is now open for both events.
Don't forget to order some BBQ for your Memorial Day weekend... we're taking orders for quarts of pulled pork and whole smoked Boston Butts now through Friday, April 13. We'll get together to pull the pork on Thursday, April 26 and orders will be ready on the 26th and 27th... just in time for Memorial Day Weekend!
Have a great week and we'll see you soon!
