Top 10 Framing Concerns/Cost Effective Energy Efficiency
This BIA sponsored Workshop will examine the most common wood framing and sheathing errors found in today’s construction and provide practical solutions for preventing them. Topics will include buckled sheathing, squeaky floors, checked beams, oversized holes and the dos and don’ts for wood framed connections.
The findings and discussions presented are based on hundreds of job site inspections performed by APA-The Engineered Wood Association staff over the last few years and addresses a number of simple things that can be done in the Framing stage of Construction that provide significant energy savings in new homes.
