Remodelers Council Education + Dinner Meeting

The Remodelers Council will meet on Tuesday, August 3 at Seawell's for education followed by cocktails and dinner. The class and dinner are free for members of the BIA Remodelers Council thanks to our sponsor: Builders FirstSource.

We'll get started at 4:00 p.m. with The 10 Commandments of Remodeling with special guest speaker Alan Hanbury, Jr., CGR, CAPS, GMR, President, House of Hanbury Builders, Inc.

Alan Hanbury is a construction consultant with over 45 years of experience in building and remodeling. Based in Newington, CT he was named HBRA of Central CT’s Remodeler of the Year in 2010, NAHB’s Graduate Master Remodeler of the Year in 2011, and NAHB Educator of the Year in 2012. The class deals with Alan’s 10 (actually 11) basic rules for making money in remodeling specifically, but applies to all construction companies. It touches on margin and markup, labor burden, goal setting, pricing, planning, getting referrals, getting outside help and more.

After the class, in-person attendees will enjoy cocktails and dinner.
